Millers Gate

This stunning arts and crafts property was owned by Lisa and Mark who asked us to remodel and extend the ground floor to enhance this extensive family home.

The existing arts and crafts design informed the aesthetic of the extension. However, the challenge was to marry the contemporary design and modern day living with a more traditional style of house. The result is a successful composition of traditional materials with new technology to create a kitchen living dining space to maximise enjoyment. The external space was just as important as the internal space and there needed to be a seamless transition between the two. This incorporated under cover heated seating area all to embrace the views across the Cheshire countryside.

The raised ground floor presented a unique opportunity to create a raised patio to the rear with dramatic steps down on to the lawn.
