Our design studio in the heart of Cheshire is where we develop and create outstanding design projects for our clients. Our talented and skilled architects and designers aim to provide a seamless, bespoke service designed to be exceptional in every detail.
Our dedicated team are focused on quality at every stage of the process. Our founding partners Edwina Kimble and Emma Roden, have over 70 years of combined experience with a firmly rooted ethos of creating outstanding results...every time.
Before establishing Kimble Roden, Edwina worked for some of the Northwest’s most significant architect practices, including Stephenson Architecture, Aedas and OMI Architects.
Edwina was a prominent figure in the regeneration of Manchester city centre, as Project Architect for a range of high profile developments including St James’ House, No 1 Marsden Street, The Observatory and Left Bank, Spinning Fields.
During her career, spanning over 30 years, Edwina has worked on a number of award-winning RIBA projects. Her design drawings have also been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
“I am just as passionate about design today as I was 30 years ago. In my career I have worked on multi-million pound projects to re-designing a family home but the size of the project really doesn’t matter. It’s all about the quality of space and it’s only through great design and attention to detail that this can be achieved.”
Edwina Kimble BA(Hons) B Arch, ARB. Practice Director
Prior to establishing Kimble Roden, Emma worked on many high-profile city centre developments around Ducie Street, the Northern Quarter and Castlefield for large developers. She also has extensive experience in listed building developments, student housing and commercial schemes.
Since becoming a director at Kimble Roden, Emma has enjoyed bringing her vast knowledge to private clients helping them create truly outstanding homes.
Emma's strengths lie in being able to communicate and connect with her clients, and to work diligently to achieve high levels of design and technical competence.
“Good design really can improve your life. I love being able to help clients re-design their homes to improve the way they live. It’s not always about creating additional rooms – sometimes you just need to re-assess the space you already have – this is where a good architect can really make the difference.”
